What happens when you buy from us

Purchases occur via the website and in-person via contact with our sales staff. Our website purchasing options are:
1. Subscription based meat-boxes, 2. Meat-box purchases.

Our subscription plans consist of various meat-boxes of different sizes and compositions. We also have single purchase products. When you purchase a subscription, you acknowledge and agree that:
– Brisbane Valley Farm Direct is authorised to charge you on a monthly basis for the price of your chosen subscription for as long as your subscription continues.
– Your subscription runs continuously until you cancel it, however we can cancel or suspend or terminate the subscription at any time.

As a valued Brisbane Valley Farm Direct customer, you can cancel your order at any time! We know things can get tough and will encourage a suspension of your account, however will accept cancellation with 14 days notice. Because we process our own meat, cancelling an order impacts other aspects of the business – such as packing, processing implications, packing etc. Unfortunately, if a cancellation request is received less than 2 weeks before your order is due to be processed, then your cancellation will take effect after such order is processed.

Payment and Billing Info

By providing a credit card or other payment method that we accept, you represent and warrant that you are authorised to use the designated payment method and that you authorise us (or our third party payment provider) to charge your payment method for all charges you incur for the purchase of any subscriptions or other meat pack or products. Effectively, you are responsible for, and agree to pay, all such charges. If we or our third party payment processor cannot obtain authorisation for charges to your payment method or if any amounts you authorise us to charge to your payment method are reversed or charged back for any reason, we may, at our option, in addition to any other remedies:
1. Cancel or suspend any undelivered portion of your order,
2. Make second and/or subsequent attempts to charge your payment method, and/or
3. Use any other lawful means to collect payment on any outstanding amounts due to us. You will remain responsible to pay all applicable charges for all orders. You agree to provide and keep current a valid payment method. However, your failure to do so shall not constitute cancellation of any order. In the event you want to change or update payment information associated with your Brisbane Valley Farm Direct account, you can do so at any time by logging into your account and editing your payment information.

After Delivery Deets

We personally ensure each meat-pack is transported from our processing station in Coominya QLD in a refrigerated truck to the delivery address. Being home to receive delivery is ideal, otherwise we will leave on the customers door step or other safe delivery space you give us in the delivery instructions. Our delivery driver will send you a text to your nominated mobile number before the delivery as well as after delivery is complete.

Once that product is delivered it is at your risk! Remember the weather conditions in the Sunshine State… it gets very hot quickly so it’s up to you to get your meat-box inside, and we will not be liable for theft and wildlife should that occur. Its up to you to plan to deal with the impacts of seasons, high-temperature weather, storms or other issues local to your area and cannot be responsible for the impact of these. Whilst our delivery boxes are packed with care and concern, with ice blocks to retain a chilled environment, you should always strive to reduce the amount of time a delivery is exposed to high temperatures or the elements.

If you are not available to accept the delivery, you are responsible for the security of the nominated safe delivery location and we cannot accept any damage or loss that occurs as a result of our delivery to that location.

You are responsible for inspecting your order immediately for any damage or other issues upon delivery. Also, you are solely responsible for determining the freshness of the products you receive. You should always inspect your delivery to confirm that the ingredients arrive in a cool, refrigerated condition. To maintain the quality and integrity of your order, we recommend that you immediately refrigerate immediately upon delivery. After delivery, the condition and consumption of the Brisbane Valley Farm Direct products are totally at your risk, and you are solely responsible for the proper and safe washing, handling, preparation, storage, cooking, use and consumption following delivery.

We recommend that you follow the QLD Government instructions on safe food handling. Failure to follow safe food handling practices and temperature recommendations may increase the risk of foodborne illness. In addition, pregnant women, young children, the elderly and individuals with compromised immune systems should closely follow said recommendations on food consumption for at-risk groups.

Refunds and Returns Info

Because we are shipping perishable products we therefore are not able to accept returns. Unlike items that have a longer shelf life, items that are perishable cannot be restocked or resold. However, if you are not completely satisfied with your Brisbane Valley Farm Direct meat-box or product for good reason, please contact sales@brisbanevalleyfarmdirect.com.au within seven days of receipt. We will happily review your order and any reported issues and offer an appropriate resolution which may include replacements, or credit towards your next box, or a partial/full refund. Since we are not able to physically access the product, we may ask that you provide photos.

Further, we guarantee delivery to the address provided when the order is placed/shipped and when retrieved on the guaranteed delivery date. However, due to the perishable nature of our boxes, we cannot guarantee the condition of the delivery if the address is incorrectly entered, if a change of address isn’t updated prior to the invoice date, if an address is altered while in transit, or if you are unable to retrieve the order on the guaranteed delivery date and did not notify us prior to the order being invoiced. We need you when placing your order, to please enter your shipping address carefully to ensure accuracy and review your receipt/account for any errors. If you enter the shipping address incorrectly when the order is placed, please email sales@brisbanevalleyfarmdirect.com.au immediately for correction.
– Should your shipping address change, please update your address prior to the invoice date either via your account or by writing to sales@brisbanevalleyfarmdirect.com.au. If your order is returned to us because of an incorrect address provided or refusal of delivery when shipped according to our terms and conditions, we must dispose of the contents and you will not be refunded. In the event an order is delivered late due to an incorrect address or if you are unable to retrieve on the delivery date without prior notification and thawing/damage occurs, you will not be refunded.

Liability

Lastly, you are liable for any orders placed or charges that incur prior to the cancellation request. If the request for cancellation is made after your order has invoiced, the request will be processed for the next scheduled invoice. But please contact us with any problems or concerns because we’re really friendly and on your side! Our liability is limited only to that arising from the preparation, refrigeration and delivery of the product in accordance with the above terms. Any loss, damage or injury that occurs because of events beyond our competent preparation, refrigeration and delivery of the product is solely at your risk and we take no responsibility and deny any liability arising out of such event.
